Let me start by saying that I hope that you and your families are all safe and healthy during this difficult time.  You are a part of the F&T Family and we will be here to support you to the fullest of our ability while we transition to remote learning.  Remote learning will begin on Monday, March 23, with the goal of returning to school on Monday, April 20.  We will continue to send weekly updates.  Please see attached letter with more details regarding student attendance, course work, technology, and access to meals.

Dear Laboratory School of Finance and Technology and South Bronx Prep Families: 

 

Today, your school was closed out of an abundance of caution. We are writing to inform you that school will reopen tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2020. School will follow normal operating hours.

Actions Completed 

  • A disinfection of the school building has been completed. As a reminder, NYCDOE routinely conducts deep cleanings in your school.
  • The City conducted an investigation that determined there was no positive test for COVID-19 at this school.

 

What You Should Do 

  • Students should attend school tomorrow on their normal instructional schedule.

We appreciate all our families and want to reiterate that nothing matters more than the health and safety of our school communities. Please visit nyc.gov/coronavirus at any time for critical updates, including ways to fight stigma and bias around the coronavirus. It’s important we come together as a city and support one another as neighbors and New Yorkers during this time.
